This exhibition presented the works of Richard Tabaka, Suvira McDonald and Stefan Mager

Suvira McDonald
Suvira’s practice spans ceramics, sculpture, and landscape installation. He holds a Master of Visual Arts from Southern Cross University and has exhibited widely across Australia and internationally. His ceramic work draws on East Asian influences, including Japanese suiseki and historical wood-firing traditions, while his sculptural assemblages explore ritual, material resonance, and cultural symbolism. A long-time educator and advocate for three-dimensional practice, Suvira has played a key role in regional arts development. His work reflects a deep, evolving dialogue between place, process, and the elemental forces of nature. Website: suviramcdonald.com

Stefan Mager
I transform simple, unassuming materials into sculptures that engage the senses and stir curiosity. Inspired by the Japanese embrace of imperfection, transience, and incompleteness, my work seeks authenticity in form and feeling. The vibrant subtropical landscape I call home infuses my pieces with colour and vitality. I aim for clarity and directness, creating works that are tactile, approachable, and quietly uplifting. In a complex world, I value simplicity. My sculptures invite interaction, offering moments of connection and lightness. Each piece reflects my own yearning for innocence and is made to spark a sense of wonder in those who experience it. Website: aracaria.com.au Instagram: Stefan Mager
