What Is the Mullum Eye?
The Mullum Eye is a community art initiative by 3DayArt, running from January to October 2026. It invites anyone to contribute a visual observation of life in Mullumbimby and its surrounding townships.
Simply upload an image and a short description. If writing isn't your thing, our built-in AI Helper can "see" your photo and craft a description for you—anything from a single sentence to a full creative interpretation.
Participation is free, and the number of entries is limited. At the end of the project, our curators will select the most intriguing submissions and publish them in a limited, numbered collector's edition available for purchase.
How Does It Work?
Mullumbimby is a uniquely vibrant part of Australia—full of character, creativity, and unexpected moments. The Mullum Eye encourages locals to spot compelling visual snippets, photograph them, and upload them to our growing collection.
After curation, selected images will appear on the website. To make the process effortless, our AI-powered description generator can instantly interpret your image and summarise it in the style you choose.
The whole experience takes only a minute or two—quick, simple, and fun. Give it a try.
What Should I Look For?
No need to overthink it. The Mullum Eye isn't about technical perfection or professional photography. We value spontaneity, curiosity, and playfulness.
If something catches your eye—strange, beautiful, ordinary, humorous, or unexpected—just snap it and upload it when you have a moment.
Once you tune in, you'll spot fascinating details everywhere, discovering things you may have walked past for years.
What Are the Limitations?
There are very few rules. Images must not be offensive, libellous, or intentionally misleading.
You can upload photos in any style—colour, black and white, abstract, documentary, experimental—as long as the file size is under 4 MB.
